I’m not Writing just to say I’m Right!!

Like most people that blog, I write because I love to write. In other words, it’s just an opinion—my opinion. And an opinion is just that, a person’s view based on the knowledge that they have at hand.

Sometimes I find that I am wrong and I adjust. The factual information was just not readily available to me at the time or I just ignored the obvious, so I may state things that may ruffle a few feathers here or there. But is that all so bad if it warrants a correction from my audience? No! I learn a lot from my fellow bloggers, those that agree and those who might disagree. When a question arises, I examine my thoughts, compare it to the facts they present, and no offense is taken because of that correction. It’s a free education. Lol!

What makes it all worth the trouble is the fact that we can all bounce ideas (Opinions) off of each other, no matter how absurd, and just maybe, we will all begin to think. Well–at least just a little.

I figured I would post the idea that most of us are not experts, just a few good people with big ideas to post on a forum such as WordPress.

  7. So so true! This made me think about how I approach blogging. My thoughts on the matter are really similar. I write because I love to write and I share in hopes of having an open discussion with others. I learn lots from other bloggers.

  11. I think the art of learning comes through collaboration with others…. To collaborate we must hold an idea, thought or belief for a while as we mull it over, debate it, dissect it, defend it and then maybe let it go. But it takes courage to firstly to do all that!….thank you for your courage, I enjoyed listening to your thoughts!

  12. Thank you for following my blog. Good luck with your writing I find with blogging your ideas evolve all the time and that things you believe in the past may not necessarily be so in the future. All you can do if write what you know now ☺

  17. It is good to have an opinion, and it’s even better to base this opinion on knowledge. Reality shows that fewer and fewer people have opinion and their personal theory and means to proof themselves right. Instead it is siding with whatever opinion is out there. I find also that political correctness is preventing people from expressing their opinions.
    In other cases when it comes to observations and scientifically true things, opinions are rare. Very rare are opinions which are made on one’s personal observations if they go against the mainstream assumptions. I once wrote a post: I don’t want to go with the flow and some 50 people or so told they never did that, too. In fact, when you look at this matter, it’s that practically everybody is going with the flow because they fear being swept away in case they don’t comply with the existing view.
    You have reviewed a good subject. It’s never that 100% of people will agree with you or me or somebody, and the goal shouldn’t be to convince somebody about your rightness, but to give them a starting point in order they’d get to their own discoveries.

  22. I find many bloggers are closed minded. If I spice up a post they reject it. Some of my regular”likers” search hard into my past to find a post that’s clean to them.

    Thank you. I am happy to see your  writing. It gives me a thoughtful thinking and am  happy for that. That is always my intention to see a post that gives me happiness.
    Am happy  to share at least a part of that happiness and love here as am  writing now.
    What you said in your post  is true, sometimes just a drop of that magical post in your blog  is enough to get a person to be happy.
