About

Hi, my name is Th’Andre’ Lightsey “AKA”, ANANSI2050 on word press. It all happened in a flash. I was listening to some motivational speeches as I always do, and then it hit me, I had an epiphany. I recall reading some things that I had written years ago, around 2001 or so, and saying to myself, “damn–I’m not too bad”. At that moment, I had found my joy– writing, somewhat of a gift I unknowingly had all the time. Although it has taking years to learn the craft of writing and I am still a novice at best, it’s been a wonderful journey. As a recommendation from a friend, I began to blog my ideas. Remember, these are just my ideas, not much science or religion involved here. The only requirement is to  think. And if anything I blog sparks your attention, rather ingenious or absurd, please feel free to correct me, but be ready for a debate. I’ve come to my reasoning through trial and error, but I am not too stubborn to acknowledge another opinion, and I am not too quick to accept either. I try my best to stay fair and neutral, devoid of unnecessary biases. They seem to cloud the thinking processes. I live in “Sunny” South Florida on the east coast, near the beaches, and I am going to accomplish the greatest fete of all, to become one of the most  accomplished writers of thought and philosophy in the 21st Century.

    1. Well, I love ideas and I love to read. I appreciate everyone else’s blog, at least 30 plus a day and they return the love. Now today I will read yours and show you love. It is like reading a newspaper full of ideas. I love it!

      2. Yeah. Long time ago when I lived in Orlando I went down there. But if I move back to FL I’ll look you up if you’re alright with that.

  1. I’ve been browsing through your blog today and it seems clear from the responses that you receive you are succeeding in getting people to think, and your open-ended postings leave lots of room for people to feel invited to respond. You have a fine sense of your subjects generally and your writer’s voice is conversational as well as thought-provoking.

It’s not easy to sustain a consistent flow of conversation through blogging, but you seem to do very well, so you must be doing something right!

It seems to me that your fertile mind could probably stretch out a bit more, and I would encourage you to expand on your thoughts with some follow up and perhaps explain further sometimes how you arrive at your views. The attention of blog readers can generally be consistently held up to about 1500 words if the posts contain compelling content as yours often do. As I read through your blog, I often found myself wishing for more information or further thoughts.

I’m grateful for your attention to my blog, and appreciate your follow and likes of my posts. I’m going to follow you also and monitor your progress in giving your readers more to think about.

    Kind regards….John H.

    1. I really appreciate your comments. There is so much information available these days, and being an av I do reader, I tend to pull from everywhere. I must admit though, some of the thoughts come out of the thin air at times. I use to think that it was all my subconscious meshing together all the thoughts Ive accumulated, but somehow I feel there’s another source that only use me as a catalyst. It may sound crazy, but I’m able to look at things from many perspectives and form an honest and fair opinion. I have no agendas, because I have no distractions and I dislike titles. Once again I really appreciate your comment, it let’s me know that I’m amongst great people.

    2. He is doing all the right things to make his blog a success. I believe in studying people who can successfully build online blog tribes. He’s setting himself up for success when he decides to publish his books cause he’ll already have a built-in audience.

  3. Unless this post is old (Can’t see the post date) you, Sir, are not a novice. I haven’t gotten through much of your work yet, but what I have read so far is inspiring, provocative, and welcoming. I thought your “I’m not Writing just to say I’m Right!!” piece was spot on and explains exactly how I feel, and I really am a novice! Great Blog, I will be returning often!

  4. I value your quest for truth and enjoy your enthusiasm for the journey. One suggestion: keep the focus on the search for truth and not on becoming the greatest thinker or philosopher. There is a crucial difference that lies hidden like a forest trap in the heart of all of our journeys.

    1. I agree fully. I also believe that we are all ” great” thinkers, well at least we should all be aspiring to be. I just want to be another one of those billions of ” great ” thinkers. Thanks again for viewing..

  5. You went and done it. You went and followed Uncle Bardie’s Stories & Such. You are now one of Uncle Bardie’s Band of Merry Followers. Just so you know, Uncle Bardie’s a hoot, and he’s got quite a few whoppers in his bag of stories. Some funny, some not so funny. But all told for your entertainment. Thank you for following his blog.

  6. Thank you for following us! We’re from seriously diverse backgrounds. Art major (from Boston), Electrical Engineer (from Africa) and our newest contributor (as of last week) the Pastor of The Church on the Arroyo (from California). We write random things that catch our attention and we hope may enrich others. It’s fun, that’s why we do it. The community is around 300 people in the middle of nowhere. We have to have something to do besides fishing and swatting Texas sized bugs. We appreciate your interest in us and are more than pleased to watch what you’re doing.

  8. Anansi, Glad to have found your blog. Thanks for following mine. I not only like to write, but I’m compelled to write, and WordPress offers a great outlet for all those words, ideas, and opinions. Reading and commenting on other peoples’ blogs is often as much fun as writing my own. There are a lot of thinkers on WordPress, and they inspire me to think, too.

  10. I started to read your blog recently and I believe you have a gift. Thank you for following my blog and for giving me the chance to discover more of your world!
